02. Diagnosis

Why does España Futura exist?

Spain faces structural problems that demand a long-term vision: stagnant education, excessive bureaucracy, growing debt, a demographic winter, housing access difficulty, low productivity, security issues, and institutional fatigue.

Our project is born out of seriousness and the commitment of all Spaniards to plan the next decade, not the next election. It is time for profound regeneration driven by our collective effort.

03. Program

Our Proposals

Spain has been falling in the PISA reports for a decade: we are 15 points below the OECD average in mathematics. The problem is not one of investment, it is one of model. Restoring standardized external evaluation in all cycles and eliminating automatic promotion without accredited minimum competences are basic conditions for the system to demand and to distinguish again. Merit must once again be a value in the classroom. The teaching career will not be fixed by toughening entrance examinations that are already demanding in terms of syllabus. The real problem is teachers who, once inside the system, do not keep themselves up to date. A teacher teaching an obsolete syllabus is not educating, but doing harm. We propose establishing accredited continuous training as a mandatory requirement for progressing in the teaching career, with periodic review of the content taught in each area of knowledge. Teachers' salaries must be competitive with those of other professions requiring the same level of training, in order to attract and retain the best. Dual Vocational Training, in which the student alternates between the school and a real company, is the model that works in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and partly explains their youth employment rates. In Spain it is barely implemented. We propose extending the dual model to all vocational training cycles within the next four years, with binding agreements with companies. Bilingual education in public schools cannot be a privilege for those who live in the right neighbourhood. We guarantee teaching in English of at least 30% of subjects in every public school in the country before the end of the legislative term. The university system publicly finances degrees in which most graduates end up working in something unrelated to what they studied, simply because entry marks were low and places plentiful. We propose reducing publicly funded places in degrees with high structural unemployment. Fewer places raise the entry mark and filter for those who truly want to be there, without banning anything for anyone. The freed-up resources are redirected to engineering, science, technology and healthcare, where the country needs more graduates and where there are real jobs. Scholarships must be linked to real academic performance, not only to family income, so that talent does not depend on parents' wallets.

04. Values

Our Core Principles

01

Effort and Merit

We believe that social position should depend on what one contributes, not on one's surname or autonomous community of birth. Merit is not a privilege, it is the basis of a just society.

02

Order and Security

Freedom without order is chaos. A State that does not protect its citizens on the street has failed in its most basic function. Security is not a conservative luxury: it is the ground on which any progress is built.

03

Demanding Education

A nation that lowers its educational level so that no one fails is, in reality, condemning everyone to collective failure. We opt for excellence as a lever of real equality, not mediocre egalitarianism.

04

Technological & Industrial Sovereignty

Europe cannot continue to be a consumer of foreign technology. Spain must stop exporting talent and start retaining it, creating the conditions for our engineers and researchers to build the future here.

05

Efficient State

A large State is not a strong State. A State that spends poorly, duplicates structures, and suffocates entrepreneurs with bureaucracy is a weak State that betrays its citizens. We want a State that does fewer things but does them well.

06

National Unity

Spain is a nation united in its diversity with a shared history, not a sum of territories in permanent conflict. Autonomic self-government is an asset, not a reason for fragmentation. We defend the Constitution and the parliamentary Monarchy as a framework for coexistence.

07

Intergenerational Solidarity

We owe the elders who built this country the security of their pensions. We owe the youth who will sustain it the real possibility of becoming independent, forming a family, and having hope for the future. They are not two opposing goals: they are the same.

An Intergenerational Pact

This is a national project that unites all generations. We reject division and call upon the joint effort of grandparents, parents, and children. We want to take responsibility for Spain's future with unity, competence, and ambition. We are not here to confront, but to build a country for everyone.

Founding Vision and Leadership

España Futura is born without borrowed acronyms or ideological inheritances from the 20th century. We are a generation that has studied, worked, and verified that institutions are not up to the country we want to be. We believe politics needs rigor, data, and intellectual humility. We commit to publishing all our analyses, sources, and funding. Transparency is not a slogan: it is the minimum condition to regain citizens' trust.

We are building the foundations of this political party. Defining the organization, gathering support for our legal registration, and programming the first territorial structures takes time. The Spain of the future demands a solid construction today.
